At Daarut-Tawheed Weekend Madrasa, we are dedicated to shaping the minds and hearts of young Muslims in Sekondi-Takoradi through a comprehensive Islamic education. Held every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, our weekend program offers focused instruction in Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, and Qur’anic Recitation and Memorization.
On Saturdays, our day begins with a special Halqa (Qur’an Circle) from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, where students engage deeply with the Qur’an through recitation, reflection, and group learning. This spiritually uplifting session sets the tone for the rest of the day.
Following the Halqa, students attend structured classes in key Islamic disciplines including:
- Tawheed (Islamic Monotheism)
- Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence)
- Seerah (Life of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him)
- Qur’an Translation and Understanding
- Arabic Language
- Other related subjects designed to enhance their knowledge and practice of Islam
Our aim is to nurture students who are grounded in Islamic values, capable of understanding the Qur’an and Hadith, and confident in practicing their faith in today’s world. With experienced teachers and a friendly learning environment, we ensure that every child receives the guidance and attention they need to grow spiritually and intellectually.
We place much emphasis on tajweed, as it preserves the integrity and original preservation of the Qur’anic text. It also instills love, reverence, and a deep connection to the Book. By teaching tajweed, we fulfill our duty of transmitting the Qur’an accurately and respectfully, as it was revealed.
